US-IRAN TRADE SOARS AS REGIME BANKROLLS TERROR PROXIES

An explosive new report has uncovered a dramatic increase in US-Iran trade in spite of the global terror unleashed by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The non-public State Department report submitted to Congress earlier this week and reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, exposes a 43% increase in trade between the United States and Iran in 2023. Total trade between the two nations reached a staggering $81.3 million last year with the US importing $22.3 million in goods from Iran and exporting $59 million, marking a more than $24 million increase from 2022.

Although the State Department report claims that US trade with Iran primarily consists of “agricultural goods, medicine, and medical devices,” the lack of specific details on traded items has fueled speculation about the true nature of these exchanges. Adding to the intrigue, details on Russia’s trade with Iran are omitted, with the State Department claiming these figures could not be produced.

“It’s no surprise that the Iranian regime was able to engage in and pay for increased trade with the U.S., and to bolster their economy more broadly,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) tells the Free Beacon. “Indeed, regime outlets have been bragging that trade with the U.S. has doubled again in the first quarter of 2024. Iran then uses their financial and economic strength to conduct terrorism around the world, including terrorism directly targeting Americans.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s oil revenues have reportedly topped more than $90 billion since the Biden-Harris administration took office and began easing sanctions on Tehran’s energy sector. Experts argue that this cash influx combined with increased trade is fueling Iran’s ability to support its regional terror proxies such as Hamas and Hezbollah in their war of annihilation against the Jewish state.
